I would definitely recommend the IDM Summer School to anybody. It was such a valuable experience and a really interesting insight into the world of direct and digital marketing. Throughout the week you get the chance to take part in engaging projects and pitch to top agency executives - it's like a fun version of The Apprentice without the heartache!
A definite highlight is the visit to a major London agency to see how everything works in the real world. One thing I wasn't expecting was the amazing social atmosphere - the 'grads' really bond as a group and we all had an awesome time, especially at the swanky dinner-dance ball!
You come away with a much greater understanding of how multiple marketing elements are integrated in practice and the dynamics of a client-agency relationship. Plus the IDM looks great on your CV and the skills you learn you can take with you to your first job and really hit the ground running.
