Monday 28th June
- Welcome and introduction to the week (Janice Pickard, Director of Student Services, the IDM)
- Direct marketing as part of mainstream marketing (Derek Holder, Managing Director, the IDM)
- Case study briefing
Tuesday 29th June
- The client/agency relationship
- Media planning workshop
- Visit to see a marketing agency in action. Functions and roles within agencies explained such as planning, creative, account management, data, media services. Followed by socialising and drinks with agency staff.
Wednesday 30th June
- Data, the new creative
- Digital media and how they change the way we do business
- Mentoring sessions with agencies for case study work
- Evening: Free to work on case study (and socialise!)
Thursday 1st July
- Integrated Marketing Communications
- The secrets of great creativity
- Group case study work
- Evening: Drinks reception with speakers and other key industry professionals
Friday 2nd July
- Group case study presentations to potential employers
- Close at 15:00 after lunch
