Production Controller


A Production Controller reports to the Production Manager and maintains responsibility for the day to day operation of the production department.The main functions of the role are:

• Advising the account and creative teams on the viability of a creative solution, given the production techniques available
• Providing accurate and economic cost estimates in response to briefs
• Negotiating with and briefing outside suppliers to ensure the accurate execution of production work according to brief, budget and delivery deadline
• Raising purchase orders for suppliers
• Quality control in terms of checking print, proofs, etc. and machine passing as appropriate
• Signing off suppliers' invoices, ensuring that they reflect expected job costs and advising account handlers of any justifiable differences

Keeping abreast of and advising the Production Manager in new developments in production techniques.
